About
Dizzi Geetha is a Queer artist from Sri Lanka, based in The Netherlands. Dizzi is a creator, producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, theatre maker, DJ and ceremonial facilitator. Their work is largely shaped by their love for nature and our planet as well as their history of displacement and finding roots through sonic soundscapes. It gives their creations in music and theatre a truly unique and organic element that shapes experiences of the onlooker and listener, rather than just being consumed.
In 2024 Dizzi debuted their first play, METAMORPHOSIS, in Amsterdam. They are currently in the process of creating their first studio album and have recently released 2 singles HANUSH and TAKITA.
Dizzi collaborations span from studio albums to theatre plays. Dizzi has collaborated with Yeliz Doğan, Jaike Belfor, Naima Souhair, Saartje van Camp and Nina Dumoulin. They have also written music for original plays Mi Alma & Mi Pret’I Wowo by renowned dancer and choreographer Junadry Leocaria. Please visit the collaborations page for more details on these collaborations and productions
Dizzi is also holds vast knowledge in the area of plant-medication, accompanied plant medicine ceremonies and has a broad experience with leading and facilitating soundhealing-ceremonies. Both of which offer pathways to dismantle and explore one’s subconcious world.
All of Dizzi’s work is rooted within ritual, transformation and storytelling. A holistic approach through various expressions that help explore the human experience, the systems in which we move and are affected by, as well as a (re-)connection to nature.
